During World War II, shoe manufacturers in Europe and the U.S. turned to wood and woven fabrics due to the lack of leather.

Recently my 1 year old black Labrador, Maurice, ate two pairs of my shoes so I've been obsessing over getting new shoes lately. I would really like to find some classy vintage shoes and have been inspired by this interview with Vintage Shoe Collector Jonathan Walford.
