Gifting Some Good

I came across a great online boutique called Party with Heart. All of their products are super stylish and (even more importantly) the products they sell help others by either participating in Fair Trade practices or by direct donations made from the designers who created the product.

These inexpensive bracelets called Brazilets would be a great finishing touch on a gift package for someone. They say that the Brazilet ribbon is to be tied around a wrist with three knots, making a wish with each knot. When the fabric naturally wears away and falls off, the wishes are granted. Each Brazilet is printed with the a traditional Portuguese quote that translates to "In remembrance of our Patron Saint and good luck in life." A portion of all sales are donated to the Plant a Billion campaign, which works to plant a billion trees in the Brazilian Rainforest.

Now I can gift a conversation piece, good luck and Brazilian Rainforest trees all in one!

Tree Harvested Cheese Borad & Cake Pedestal

My longtime friend - and fiancé ;) - Jeff Harmon Bugbee, would appreciate this cheese board and cake pedestal made out of wood from Herriott Grace. We both love to entertain, eat cheese AND cake. Not to mention that Jeff is also a talented designer-turned-wood builder.

Welcome to Mazie Days

I’m finally doing something that I have been wanting to do since I became a work at home mom - BLOG. My initial thoughts with this blog is to keep an almost daily update of things that I find interesting (and hopefully you will too) and also to have a place to showcase my secondhand, and sometime first-hand, findings.

Let’s cut to the chase and start looking at some good stuff.

Cheers!

Natalie

p.s. I would absolutely welcome your thoughts, comments and input.
